Terms and Conditions


  • 1. The competition Promoter is Enrich Advertising Ltd, 4th Floor, 27a Floral Street, London, WC2E 9EZ. By participating in the Competitions you will be accepting these general rules and terms and conditions. For the avoidance of doubt, the Competitions are not organized by or affiliated with Rovio Entertainment Ltd.
  • 2.There are two Competitions both of which will start at 10.01am on the 22nd March 2012 and close at 11:59pm on 21st April 2012. Competition 1 is called ‘Name a Star’ (further known as ‘Competition 1’). Competition 2 is called ‘Angry Birds Quiz’ (further known as ‘Competition 2’), collectively referred to as the ‘Competitions’.
  • 3. Upon closure of the Competitions, the winners will be eligible for a prize as set out in clause 8 below. All winners shall be selected by an independent adjudicator.
  • 4. In order to be able to participate in the Competitions, you will need to provide a username and e-mail address when you submit your score or answer, and if you are selected as a winner, a valid permanent address.
  • 5. The winning of prizes in the Competitions shall be subject to the following terms:
    • 5.1 No alternative prize will be offered if the winner is unavailable or not contactable or does not respond within thirty days from being contacted by the Promoter;
    • 5.2 The Promoter shall at our absolute discretion make prizes available to winners and our decision is final and legally binding on all users and winners and no correspondence will be entered into. Where applicable, the decision of the Independent Adjudicator is final based on the criteria set out in the competition and no correspondence will be entered into over the decision;
    • 5.3 Unless agreed otherwise in writing the prize is non-refundable and non transferable;
    • 5.4 The Promoter may substitute the prize (or any part of them) for an prize of equivalent or greater monetary value if this is necessary for reasons beyond the Promoters control;
    • 5.5 The terms and conditions of any third party supplier will apply to any prize where applicable; prizes are subject to availability at the time of off ering;
    • 5.6 The Promoter will not be liable for prizes that do not reach the winners for reasons beyond The Promoter’s reasonable control. No responsibility can be accepted for entries lost, damaged, delayed or corrupted, or due to computer error in transit;
    • 5.7 If you are not able, for whatever reason, to accept a prize, then The Promoter reserves the right to award it to another winner. Reasonable efforts will be made to contact the winner(s). If the winner(s) cannot be contacted within 30 days from the closing date of 21st April 2012, or are unable to comply with these terms and conditions, The Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant;
    • 5.8 Winners must be 18 years and above. Proof of Identity and age may be required;
    • 5.9 The Promoter’s decision is final and legally binding on all entrants. No correspondence will be entered in to. Entries that do not comply in full with these entry rules and conditions will be disqualified;
    • 5.10 Entry is open to all nationalities except employees (and their families) of Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd, its agents, the suppliers of the prizes and any other companies associated with the competition including Rovio Entertainment Ltd and The Promoter.
    • 5.11 Use of a false name or address will result in disqualification.
    • 5.12 All entries must be made directly by the person entering the competition and only one entry will be accepted per person.
    • 5.13 Entries made online or via mobile using methods generated by a script, macro or the use of automated devices will be void.
    • 5.14 The winner(s) is (are) responsible for expenses and arrangements not specifically included in the prizes, including any necessary travel documents, passports and visas.
    • 5.15 Failure to respond and/or provide an address for delivery, or failure to meet the eligibility requirements may result in forfeiture of the prize.
    • 5.16 Cost to enter the competition will depend on the method of entry and you should always seek the permission of the person paying the bill before entering. The cost to enter via the internet or mobile internet may vary so please check with your network operator for current charges.
  • 6. All copyright, trade- marks, licenses and all other intellectual property rights in the Angry Birds game or images shall remain with Rovio Entertainment Ltd. The Promoter hereby grants you a licence for your personal use of the Microsite ‘http://samsung.angrybirds.com/galaxynote’ only in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. The Promoter may prevent the copying of any part of the Microsite.
  • 7. By agreeing the terms and conditions, you confirm that Samsung Electronics Group may use your information for market research and the marketing of Samsung products and services. This may include sending you marketing by email about the Game or other similar products and services, unless you advise The Promoter by choosing to opt out of receiving such forms of marketing. To opt out from these messages, please write to The Promoter at the above address quoting your Name, email address and return address.
  • 8. The winners will be notified by email no later than 21st May 2012.
    • 8.1. Prize details for Competition 1:
      • 8.1.a.   First randomly selected winner prize: naming of one Star randomly selected from the coordinates in 8.1.1; one Samsung GALAXY Note; one 16 inch Angry Birds soft toy; one Angry Birds T-Shirt.
      • 8.1.b.   Second randomly selected winner prize: naming of one Star randomly selected from the coordinates in 8.1.1; one 16 inch Angry Birds Soft toy; one 12 inch Angry Birds Soft toy; one Angry Birds T-Shirt.
      • 8.1.c.   Third randomly selected winner prize: naming of one Star randomly selected from the coordinates in 8.1.1; one 16 inch Angry Bird toy; one T-shirt.
      • 8.1.d.   4th – 9th randomly selected winners’ prize (for each winner): naming of one Star randomly selected from the coordinates in 8.1.1; one 8 inch Angry Bird soft toys.
      • 8.1.e.   10th – 50th Prizes (for each winner): one 8 inch Angry Bird soft toy.
      • 8.1.1. The names of the 9 stars to be chosen for the winners at random are:

      • 8.1.2. Each winner of the above list will receive a Star gift box including a coordinates sheet and a personalised certificate.
    • 8.2 Prize details for Competition 2: Every week for four consecutive weeks starting 22nd March 2012, 5 (five) entries will be randomly selected by an independent adjudicator.
      • 8.2a First randomly selected weekly winner shall receive one 16 inch Angry Bird toy.
      • 8.2b 2nd – 5th randomly selected weekly winners shall each receive one 12 inch Angry Bird soft toy.
  • 9. Except in the case of death or personal injury arising from its negligence or in respect of fraud and so far as is permitted by law, The Promoter and its associated companies and agents exclude responsibility and all liabilities arising from any postponement, cancellation, delay or changes to the prize details beyond The Promoter’s control and for any act or default of any travel company, airline, hotel or any other third party supplier.
  • 10. Details of prize winners will be available for one month after the close of the High Score Competition by writing to The Promoter at the address set out in clause 1 and stating the name and date of the Competition.
  • 11. The name, country and photograph (if the photograph is requested by The Promoter and in due course authorised by the winner) of the winners may be used by The Promoter and its associated companies for post-event publicity purposes.
  • 12. The competition will be governed under the laws of the United Kingdom. Any data collected shall be held under the laws of the United Kingdom Data Protection Act 1988.
  • 13. The prizes are as stated, are not transferable to another individual and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. No purchase is necessary.
  • 14. The Promoter reserve the right to amend or alter the terms of the Competitions and reject entries from entrants not entering into the spirit of the competition. The Promoter reserves the right to modify, withdraw or close the competition at any time. We recommend that you check these terms and conditions from time to time to see if they have changed. If you continue to enter Competitions after these terms change, you will be bound by those changes.
  • 15. In the event of a discrepancy between these standard terms and conditions and the details in the promotional material (or any other terms and conditions provided/referred to at the time of entry), the details of these terms and conditions shall prevail.
